Wheel thrown and illustrated stoneware green, glazed vase made in the Cotswolds.
 
This vase was made as an experiment meaning it is a one off, more so as the glaze used is from my waste glaze bucket. This is where I put all glaze odds, ends and tests so it changes from one addition to the next.
 
Ferns are a staple in my repertoire and the rhythmic repetition of scratching each line into the leather-hard clay soothes me and takes me back to walks in the woods.
 
The narrow opening in this piece is ideal for single blooms or small posies.
